Effie, born 1826, was the daughter of Neil MacLeod and Catherine Morrison of Ruisgarry. Effie married Norman MacAskill of Taransay. They lived variously at Obbe and as cottars at 1 Flodabay, moving to Scarista about 1875. They had no children.
