Murdo (born 1909) was a son of Johanna Nicolson, 11 Crowlista. He served in the Royal Naval Reserve (RNR) during the Second World War and a record for him can be found in the Roll of Honour 1939-1945.
Murdo was married to Mary Macleod, 13 Crowlista and they lived in Glasgow, where Murdo was employed by the Clyde Trust.
Murdo and Mary had no family. They retired to Miavaig, Uig after purchasing a former nurse’s cottage.
