Roderick (1833-1897) was a son of Malcolm Macleod and Margaret Macleod, 16 Old Lemreway.
The village was cleared in 1843 and the family were moved to 2 Crossbost.
In Lochs, in 1861, he married his first cousin, Catherine Macleod from 13 Crossbost. Roderick and Catherine lived with Roderick’s parents at 2 Crossbost before they settled at 33 Crossbost. The couple had five children.
