106852: Margaret Morrison

Margaret Morrison, born about 1825, was the daughter of John Morrison and Flora Paterson of old Borve. She married Malcolm MacCusbic, with whom she he was to have four children. Malcolm was a tenant in old Borve, with a farm of 6 acres. However, in 1854 the tenants in Borve were cleared from their land in order to make way for Borve Farm. Margaret and her husband joined his older brother and her widowed mother in emigrating to Australia, leaving Plymouth on the Royal Albert on 15th August 1855. They made their home in Mount Gambier, South Australia.
