Catherine (1833-1916) was a daughter of Donald Maciver and Mary Macdonald, 7 Steinish, Stornoway.
In Stornoway, in 1856, she married Duncan Macdonald, 4 Steinish ex 11 Old Orinsay. Catherine and Duncan settled at 7b Steinish and they had at least six children.
Catherine’s brother Malcolm married Duncan’s sister Isabella.
