Duncan (b1857) was the son of James Macarthur and Ann Macleod, 32 Upper Carloway. He married Annie McRonald, believed to be from the Isle of Skye and lived in Glasgow where Duncan was a policeman. Duncan and Annie did not have a family and in 1934, he is recorded as having died in Dunvegan, Isle of Skye.
