31546: LSFH 21 Cleit Ard – CAIRN (Undated), MARKER CAIRN? (Undated)

Summary:

CAIRN (Undated)
MARKER CAIRN? (Undated)
Cairn

Location:

NB 29052 17918

Full description:

"The fragmentary remains of this cairn measure 4 metres in diameter and stand to a maximum height of 0.2 metres. There is no sign of a kerb, and the nature of the stone suggests that it may be the remains of a heavily denuded navigation cairn that once measured ca 1 metre in diameter and may have stood to 1.5+ metres high. This cairn’s prominent location on a low knoll on the north slopes of Cleit Ard tends to support this interpretation." (Burgess 2004, 32)
