56823: 22 Knock Carloway

This croft was created for Donald Macleod, 14 Borrowston in the 1850’s.  In the 1860’s Donald exchanged crofts with Norman Macphail, 6 Knock Carloway.  It is not certain whether Donald and his family actually lived at 22 Knock Carloway.  Norman’s  daughter Marion (b1867) inherited the croft which was then passed on to her son Finlay.  The croft still remains in the family
