21586: The Cottage, Balallan

The building known as "The Cottage" at the east end of Balallan was built in 1920 and contained two semi-detatched houses. One was the residence of the District Nurse and the other was rented out.

After a new nurse’s residence was built in 1954, the house lay dormant for many years until it was taken over by the Local Authority and renovated.
