Croft 25 Knock Carloway was created in the 1850’s for Malcolm Macphail, 6/8 Knock Carloway.  On his death, the croft was split between his sons-in-law, Malcolm Macleod who took 25 Knock and Angus Macarthur who took 26 Knock Carloway.  The croft passed to Angus’s daughter Margaret (b1875) and was later sold.
