The first tenant of 5 Aird Tong was Donald Macleod (1782-1860) brother of Peter Macleod, 4 Aird Tong. The croft was passed to his youngest son, Murdo Macleod (1828-1907) and he passed it to his son, Murdo who died in 1950 and left the croft to his daughter Annie Macleod.
