The first tenant of this croft was Donald Macleod (b1790) who was married to Effie Macleod (b1796).  In 1851, they emigrated to Bruce County with their six children.

The croft passed to John Young and then to his son-in-law Angus Macleod (1825-1906).  Croft then passed to Angus’s son John (b1858) and then John’s son Angus.
