105113: 20 Knock Carloway

This croft was first tenanted by Murdo Smith (1791-1858).  In the 1860’s, his widow Mary moved to 9 Knock Carloway.  The croft passed to Donald Macdonald, 17 Knock and thereafter to his son John (1857-1907).  John’s daughter Isabella (1890-1983) lived on the croft with her husband Duncan Macaulay, 7 Tolsta Chaolais and still remains within the family.
