The SS Leviathan was an Ocean Liner built in Germany in 1913. It served the transatlantic route and was seized in New York in 1917 when the Americans joined the First World War.
The vessel had been commissioned as the SS Vaterland and was changed to SS Leviathan. She was a Troop ship in the First World War.
After the War she crossed the Atlantic with Emigrants to the United States of America.
