The SS Atbara was a Cargo Steamship built by Anderson Roger & Co, Port Glasgow in 1899 for the Glasgow Navigation Company. She was sold in 1915 and renamed SS Red Cap and again in 1920 and renamed SS Constantinos Pateras.
On passage from Sfax, Tunisia to Antwerp the ship was wrecked on May 9, 1922.
