John Maclean lived at 17 Habost, but it is not certain he was born there.

He married Margaret Murray, of 52 Swainbost. Their son Angus's Royal Naval Reserve record shows his place of birth as Swainbost, and his address as 17 Habost, so this may give some indication of John and Margaret's subsequent places of settlement.
