John Morrison, born 1854, was the son of Mary Munro. It is not certain where he was born; his mother was from Ruisgarry and later settled in Stornoway.

John lived at 20 Cross Street, Coulregrein prior to his marriage to Anne Macinnes of Tolsta. John and Anne settled in Stornoway.
