Christina Campbell (1811-1874) was the daughter of Donald Campbell of Caw, Harris.
In Lochs, in 1831, she married John Carmichael, of 24 Old Gravir who was living in Lemreway. The couple had five children.
In 1832 the family obtained 12a Old Lemreway, and her brother-in-law obtained, 12b Old Lemreway.
In 1843, when Old Lemreway was cleared, the family obtained 3 Glen Tolsta. They had to spend their first winter there under an upturned boat on Glen Tolsta Beach.
