93486: Murdo Macleod

Murdo (born 1904) was the son of Malcolm Macleod and Mary Maciver of 58 North Tolsta.

Murdo’s mother died in 1910.

In 1919 two of his brothers were killed in the Iolaire disaster.

In 1935 he was a crew member of the Ribhinn Og during the Bonnie Lass Incident.

During the Second World War Murdo served with the Royal Naval Reserves.

Murdo inherited 58 North Tolsta. He married Henrietta Mackenzie, of 51 Upper Bayble, the couple settled at 58 North Tolsta and had four children: three boys and a girl. In due course their youngest son inherited 58 North Tolsta.
