92466: Betsy Maciver

Betsy (born 1809) was the daughter of Hector Maciver and Effie. Her place of birth is not certain, but by 1820 her father is listed on the sub-tenants list of Old South Tolsta Tack.

In 1830, during the croft lottings, Betsy’s family settled at 19 Old South Tolsta.

She married William Macleod, of 20 Old South Tolsta.

In 1842 the Macleods obtained 32 Old South Tolsta and had a further two children there.

In 1851, during the croft relottings, the family obtained 32 North Tolsta and it was here they had their fifth and final child.

In 1853 the family emigrated to Huron Township, Bruce County, Ontario.
