91852: Angus Macleod

Angus (1857-1930) was the son of Murdo Macleod and Mary Murray, of 34 North Tolsta.

Angus’s brother Donald became a cottar at 34 North Tolsta and raised his family there, as did his sister, Marion.

In 1875 Angus’s father died.

34 North Tolsta passed to Angus, at some point, and both his brother’s family and sister’s family continued to live there as cottars.

Angus married Margaret Macleod, of 20 North Tolsta, and the couple settled at 34 North Tolsta. The couple had eight children: five boys and three girls.

In due course 34 North Tolsta passed to their eldest son, Murdo.
