Ann MacLeod

Ann, known as Annie, was born in 1861, the daughter of John MacLeod and Mary MacLeod of Baile. In 1875 the family moved to Lamerick. Annie became a domestic servant, working for an employer in Islay, where she met her husband, widower Alexander Turner. Their son Neil was brought up on Berneray, under the guardianship of his uncle Allan.
