71236: Mary Mackay

Mary was the wife of John Macaulay from Bosta and living at 12 Doune Carloway and later moved to 15/16/17 Upper Carloway. She is referred to as ‘nighean Murchadh Bhan’, Kirvick and the dates would correspond with sons of Murchadh, who were residing in Kirvick. However, the 1841 census lists her as Catherine and the 1851 census as Margaret, so although she has been linked to her parents, this may not be strictly correct.
