Angus (born 1882) was a son of Donald Macmillan and Barbara Macdonald, 17 Marvig.
He served with the Royal Engineers for three years before he emigrated to Canada.On February 6, 1917 Angus enrolled in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in London, Ontario and served in the Canadian Military Engineers, Service Number 2005530, in the First World War. His record indicates that he was 5ft 8½ in tall with brown hair, brown eyes and a dark complexion. When he was Mobilised and sent to England he contracted Mumps, suffered from a Duodenal Ulcer throughout the War and only served light duties in England. He was medically discharged in 1919.
