John Gilles from Dornie was the gamekeeper at Grimersta in the mid 1900s. He was married to Catherine nee Macdonald, 6 Lundale (who was also employed at Grimersta as cook) and raised one daughter Cathy Ann. After retirement they settled at Garynahine.
