Aonghas Iain Aonghais

Angus (1902-1978) was a son of John Macdonald and Catherine Macinnes, 2 Lundale.

He emigrated to New Zealand on 11 January 1923 on the SS Paparoa.   Angus served as a private with the New Zealand Forces in the Second World War. He was wounded and taken prisoner at Sidi Recif, North Africa.

Angus worked for many years as a Dock Labourer or Watersider as they are called in New Zealand.

He was married at age 46 to Annabella Elder Millar formerly of Broughty Ferry, Forfarshire. They settled at Wellington and they had no children.
