George Ross Morrison (1912-1978) was a son of Alex Morrison and Jessie Martin and was born in Blair Atholl. His father was from Inverness and his mother from 48 Balallan. The family moved a great deal and they lived at Aviemore, Raasay, Inverness, Laxdale, Balallan and Melbost.
At Balallan, in 1932, he married Mary Macleod, 39b Balallan. George and Mary settled at 12 Bennadrove Road, Stornoway and later moved to Inaclete Road.
