Roderick Macdonald (1811-1869) was son of John Macdonald and Mary Ross Maciver, Crobeg.
He emigrated to Canada in 1835 and settled at Woodstock, Oxford County, Ontario.
Roderick married Johanna Mackay from Nova Scotia. The couple settled at Woodstock and they had five children.
