469: Ann Macphail
Anna Mhurchaidh Iain
Ann (1857-1904) was a daughter of Murdo Macphail and Marion Macinnes, 19 Gravir. Her mother died in 1861 and the family moved to her grandmother's croft at 12 Gravir. By 1871 they had returned to 19 Gravir.
At Stornoway, in 1887, she married Malcolm Macritchie, 9 Gravir. Ann and Malcolm settled at 9 Gravir and they had six children, only five of whom survived.
The family were evicted from 9 Gravir and settled on the Common Grazing opposite 33 Gravir.
