45209: Rev Alasdair Montgomery

Alasdair, son of John Montgomery and Annabella Macdonald, 15a Balallan trained and served as an engineer in the Merchant Navy for a four year period. A short spell with the Glasgow Police followed. He studied at Aberdeen University which was followed by a three year course at the Free Church College, Edinburgh, after which he was inducted to Scalpay, Harris in 1965 and in 1976 he moved to Back where he preached until 1994. Alasdair married Christina Maclean, 4 New Shawbost.
