Calum Ruairidh Iain

Malcolm (1895-1983) was a son of Roderick Macarthur and Anne Kennedy, 8 Cromore.

On November 7, 1917, he enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve, Service Number DA18785. His record indicates that he was 5ft 7½ in tall with blue eyes and a fresh complexion. Prior to enrolling he was working in (YSect) O.N. y30752. He was immediately Mobilised and served in the Royal Navy for the rest of the First World War. Based at HMS Pembroke and aboard HMS Present Help.   Malcolm was awarded £4.11/8d in Prize Money and his name is mentioned in  Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918. 

In Lochs, in 1940, he married Isabella Mackinnon, 33 Caros, Cromore. Malcolm and Isabella settled at 8 Cromore and they had four children.
