39056: Alexander John Mackenzie

Alexander John (1862-1913) was a son of George Mackenzie and Catherine Mackay, of 7 Laxay. In 1892 at 810 Govan Road, Alexander John married Margaret Maclean, originally of 10 Valtos. At the time of their wedding, Alexander John was noted as resident at 888 Govan Road, and Margaret at 16 Francis Street, Stornoway.

The couple moved to Stornoway and settled in Glasgow. They had eight children: Catherine Ann, Georgina, Margaret; Mary (born 29th October 1902), Annie, Dolina, Alexander John, and Christina (born 6th November 1904).

Alexander John died at 9 Howat Street, Govan; the informant of his death was his nephew Angus Macdonald of 12 Cameron Street, Glasgow.
