Donald (born 1869) was a son of Malcolm Mackay and Christina Macdonald, 2 Valtos. He served with the Royal Naval Reserve during the Second World War.

Donald was married to Catherine Maclennan and they lived at 21 Valtos. They had three sons and two daughters.
