36304: Annabella Mackenzie

Annabella (1845-1862) was a daughter of John Mackenzie, Eighth of Ballone, of South Beach, Stornoway, and Mary Macphee of Greenock; Annabella was born in Greenock.

After her parents both died young, Anabella and her brother and sister were raised by John’s sister Margaret Mackenzie and Margaret’s husband Alexander Macleod, at Valtos. 

Because Annabella and her siblings all died young, her father John’s title passed to the only son of his uncle Hector, John Tolmie Mackenzie, who became the Ninth of Ballone.
