36070: Rachel Mackay
Rachel (1832-1896) was a daughter of John Mackay and Marion Ferguson, 5 Balallan.
In Lochs, in 1854, she married Kenneth Kennedy, 29 Balallan. Rachel and Kenneth were living in Balallan when their daughter, Mary, was born in 1855.
The family moved to 10 Lemreway in 1857 and the couple had another three children.
Rachel was widowed in 1863 when Kenneth was drowned off Broadford in Skye whilst travelling on the steamer Clansman.
In Lochs, in 1868, Rachel married Murdo Macdonald, 4 Habost. They lived for a time at 10 Lemreway before settling at 7 Kershader. Rachel and Murdo had two daughters.
