Ann, born c1826, may have been a daughter of Malcolm and Margaret nee Matheson from Aird Uig. In the Old Parish Register, when Ann got married, she is "daughter of Malcolm Macleod at Aird"; the only Malcolm Macleod in Aird, at that time, was married to Peggy nee Matheson. In the 1851 census Ann and husband John is living with them and there is also a child, Bell, who is less than a year old. Ann and John emigrated to Quebec in 1851. They had nine of a family
