Donaldina (1884-1938) was a daughter of Malcolm Macleod and Mary Maclean, 27 Laxay. Her mother died in 1886 and her father married again to Mary Macarthur, 15 Achmore.
At Stornoway, in 1908, she married Donald Macleod, 4 Garyvard. Immediately after the wedding Donald emigrated to the United States of America on the SS Furnessia and the following month Donaldina followed him also on the SS Furnessia. The couple settled at 80 Shawmut Street, Lewiston, Maine and they had three daughters.
