William Macdonald (1917-2000) son of John Macdonald and Rachel Duncan, Mission House, Scarp married Catherine M Maciver, 13a Laxay.
He was a Church of Scotland minister at Applecross in Wester Ross before returning to the islands where he served in Scarista, Isle of Harris and in Garrabost, Isle of Lewis, from where he retired.
