Donald (1894-1963) was a son of Angus Mackenzie and Ann Macleod, 12 Calbost.
On December 6, 1915 he enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve Service Number SD3618. His record indicates that he was 5 ft 8½ tall with blue eyes and a fair complexion. Donald was immediately Mobilised and sent to Shore Base HMS Vivid III. Donald was transferred to the Trawler Division on October 10, 1916 and served aboard HMS Thalia and HMS Victory. He received £21.5s in Prize Money and is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.
Donald was a medical doctor at Skye and Pairc. He married Christina Macleod, 39 Ranish and settled at Blarmor, Gravir. Donald and Christina adopted Ann Margaret Mackenzie.
