Peter Macritchie came to Gravir at the beginning of the Eighteenth Century, his first known address was 21 Old Gravir.

He married Margaret Macdonald or Macleod. Five of their children’s Death Certificates have either Margaret Macdonald or Margaret Macleod.

All the Macritchies in Gravir are related to one another. The descendants of Peter MacRitchie and Margaret MacDonald are collectively known as Clann Phadruig.

Peter and his wife had six children.
