20632: Mary Mackenzie

Mary (1877-1944) was a daughter of Donald Mackenzie and Catherine Maclennan, 7 Garyvard. The family later moved to Knockiandue, Keose and later to Stornoway.
She was a nurse working in Habost, Ness before she emigrated to the United States of America in c1910. She married her cousin Captain Angus Macdonald formerly of 36 Leurbost and 8 Achmore. Mary and Angus lived in the Mackay building in Seattle.
Mary was a Charter Member of that city's Scottish Gaelic Society and its secretary and treasurer for many years.
