Isabella Maclennan (1760-1853) was a daughter of Farquhar Maclennan, Lochs.
She married Malcolm Smith from Laxay and they settled at 5 Buanish. The couple had seven children.
The village was cleared in 1826 and the family moved to her brother-in-law’s croft at 8 Tong. In 1837 they moved to 2 Tong.
