118684: Catherine Maclean

Catherine Maclean (born 1811) married Robert Carmichael of Steimreway, in Lochs, in 1828. It is not clear where the couple initially settled or where their first child was born.

In 1832 the family obtained 12 Old Lemreway and they split the croft with Robert's brother, John. Catherine and Robert lived at 12b Old Lemreway, where they had four of their eight children.

Old Lemreway was cleared in 1843 and the family emigrated to Canada. They settled at Baddeck, Cape Breton and they had a further threee children.
