John MacKillop
John, born 1811, was the son of Roderick MacKillop and Ann Shaw of Borve. The family moved to Obbe during the 1820s. John married Effie Paterson, with whom he was to have six children. The family lived in Obbe until about 1845, when they emigrated to St Ann’s, Cape Breton.
