Angus, born 1831, was the son of Donald MacKillop and Mary Ferguson of L’Archeveque, Cape Breton. The family later moved to Fergusons’ Lake. At Grand River in 1856 Angus, a farmer, married Catherine MacLean of L’Ardoise. They lived at Grand River Falls.
