113193: John MacAskill
John, born 1826, was the son of Neil MacAskill and Chirsty MacDonald of Ruisgarry, who moved to Borve by 1841. John’s mother died about 1845 and the family moved instead to 11 Kyles Scalpay.
John married Mary Morrison of Scotasay, but originally from Berneray. Together they were to have seven children. The family lived in Kyles Scalpay, emigrating to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan about 1885.
