111617: John Maciver

John was a son of Donald Maciver, of Old North Tolsta Tack.

John emigrated to New York and became a merchant; his nickname was “Ready Money”.

In 1773 his brother-in-law Kenneth Mackenzie, two of Kenneth’s sisters, and John’s nephew Alexander Mackenzie joined him in New York.
