Peggy MacLeod

Peggy MacLeod, born in 1903, was the eldest child of Roderick MacLeod and Effie Campbell of Backhill. She attended Berneray School between 1909 and 1918. In 1932 Peggy, who worked as a domestic servant, had a child, Roderick, with Kenneth MacAskill of Rhuvanish. The house at Backhill passed to Peggy following her mother’s death in 1962.
