Malcolm (1911-1978) was a son of Colin Alexander Smith and Colina Mackenzie, 27 Balallan. He married Christina Macmillan, 18 Laxay and resided at 27 Balallan. The family moved to Kincraig in 1952 and then to Aviemore where Malcolm was employed by the Forestry Commission. They had three children.
