A number of shielings built of peat moss sods and stones. Some are in ruins.
Name Book 1851

One roofed shieling-hut and four unroofed shieling-huts, which are annotated as Ruins, are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1853, sheet 31). Five unroofed buildings, two of which have two compartments, are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
